A freestanding birth center offers a great alternative to both home and hospital settings. In a place such as Community Birth & Family Center, you have the luxury of privacy and the assurance of safety.
A birth suite offers the comfort of your own home with a private bedroom, bathroom and large tub. In a birth center, you will be surrounded by people whom you have chosen to support you - there will be no strangers.
Suites are also stocked with essential safety and emergency equipment required by the Washington State Department of Health and the National Association of Childbearing Centers. Most importantly, you are supported by a team of professionals and other caretakers who work to respect your needs and desires.
Community Birth & Family Center is unique in that we provide a variety of equipment and innovative aids for comfort and labor progress,  many of which are not available in hospitals, other birthing centers, or in your own home.
The Center has large baths, a birth sling, birth stool, squatting bar, birth ball, hot and cold packs, and massage tools. All of these help you to manage the pain of labor and to use effective positions and movements to improve labor progress.
